A huge thank you to all particpants and guests for joining us at the 2010 ANZ Tour de Kawana Cystic Fibrosis Charity Cycle.

Clear blue skies greeted nearly 600 cyclists as they made their way around Lake Kawana for the fifth Tour de Kawana which raises much needed funds for Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.

While our fast riders braved a chilly morning, the sunshine was beaming by the time our families and charity riders took to the track.

The turn out on the day was a warm show of support to Queensland’s CF Community and this fabulous Sunshine Coast Community event, now in its fifth year.

The annual event got off to a flying start at the pre-event luncheon held at the Maroochy Events Centre on the Friday prior with Ray White Maroochydore prinpical Dan Sowden's auction generating significant excitement and funds from guests.

Over $75,000 was raised from the lunch and the charity cycle with all funds directed toward supporting nearly 100 local families from Caloundra to Wide Bay who have been affected by cystic fibrosis.

We look forward to having you join us for next year’s festivities and putting that pedal to the metal all over again.

All funds raised through the Tour de Kawana are dedicated to providing emotional and practical support to people living with CF on the Sunshine Coast and beyond.

2010 ANZ Tour de Kawana Cystic Fibrosis Charity Cycle

Now in its 5th year, the ANZ Tour de Kawana Cystic Fibrosis Charity Cycle is the premiere charity cycling and amateur criterium race on the Sunshine Coast.

We are pleased to announce that the ANZ is the event Naming Sponsor for the fourth time.  

2010 sees the introduction of the TDK Corporate Challenge in partnership with Hot91.

Once again the Tour de Kawana will be held on the Eastbank Foreshore on the scenic Lake Kawana and will feature the Family Charity Cycle, Experienced Riders event along with a live broadcast from Hot 91 with many after event activities planned.

There will also be great prizes to be won for the Best Decorated bike and Best Fancy Dressed rider.

We invite you to be a part of this outstanding event and play a role in our efforts to enhance the lives of all Queenslanders affected by cystic fibrosis.

The Charity Cycle raises much needed funds for Cystic Fibrosis Queensland – a not-for-profit organisation that provides emotional, financial and physical support to over 800 children and adults affected by cystic fibrosis, and their families. 

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common life threatening genetic condition in Australia - and there is no cure.  Cystic Fibrosis Queensland receives limited funding from government, and relies on events like the ANZ Tour de Kawana Cystic Fibrosis Charity Cycle to raise the funds to continue providing support to families affected by CF.  

 
Tour de Kawana pre-event Luncheon

The annual CFQ Tour de Kawana Luncheon will be held on Friday, 20 August at the Events Centre Maroochy. 

The Tour de Kawana Luncheon is a highlight of the event attracting over 200 guests from the Sunshine Coast.  At the lunch you will experience a feast of the finest food, participate in our live and silent auctions as well as helping to launch the 2010 ANZ Tour de Kawana Cystic Fibrosis Charity Cycle.

Importantly, in the course of the afternoon much needed funds will be raised to support Cystic Fibrosis Queensland in their work to provide support and services to all Queenslanders living with CF and their families.

Tickets are just $95 each with tables of ten $900.
